How to reduce the warpage and shrinkage of the prints?
▌Regarding shrinkage:
RESIONE resin prints have a dimensional error within +-0.3% compared to the original size of the 3D file.
Here are a few shrinkage rates you might need to know:
- The volume shrinkage rate of our resin is about 7%, which represents the density change from liquid to solid. The parameter of volume shrinkage has basically no reference significance in the field of resin 3D printing.
- Shrinkage of the size of the unpostcured print compared to the original size of the 3D file:This is related to resin, LCD pixel size, 3D printer and print settings, no specific data can be derived.
- During post-curing and storage, the size of prints will also shrink. The final size shrinkage of our resin prints is about 0-0.2%.
▌How to reduce the shrinkage and warpage of prints?
-
Choose a resin with low shrinkage, this is the most efficient method, such as RESIONE M70 or D01S
-
Resin liquid will corrode the prints, post- processing as soon as possible after printing.
-
Avoid immersing the prints in cleaning agents such as alcohol or IPA for more than 5 minutes.
-
Clean the resin on the surface of the prints and dry them immediately.
-
Try to choose a UV lamp with a power of 30~80w for post-curing, and the curing time should be as short as possible.
-
Post-curing first, then remove the supports, the strong supports help to slow down the shrinkage and deformation of the prints
